Sauteed Swiss Chard with Garlic

Sauteed Swiss Chard with Garlic

Serves: 4
 

Delicious served on top of toasted Italian bread
Ingredients
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard, washed well, stems removed
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
  1. Chop chard to desired size.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet on medium heat (do not overheat oil)
  3. Add chard and spices. Saute for about 3-4 minutes until chard is wilted.
  4. Add balsamic vinegar. Saute 1 more minute.
  5. Add garlic, let sizzle for about 30 seconds, then take off heat.
